Patience The Seedling

Emily my gorgeous 11 year old daughter bought me this seedling on holiday in the beautiful Lake District. She gave it to me , as she does every gift, wrapped in a Goldilocks family sized load of love. The seedling has been named Patience and welcomed into Ria's family.

Louise HAY one of my teachers said this about seeds.....We must have Patience in the growth process , Louise warned against immediate frustration, stating that when a seed is first planted, it does not become a flower in one day. She reminds us that when we plant a seed we don't keep digging it up to see if its grown yet.  It requires patience and continued nurturing. I ask myself how come i learned this years ago and yet its only now as i write to you I've ACTUALLY got it!!!  Well it is said that you teach what you need to learn yourself.

The interesting thing about patience for me is that i see others being immensely patient with others. Not so with themselves. Why does it seem to be the way that we fail to do the same for ourselves? Maybe that's a seed we need to plant and nurture.

Every time i walk through Ria's Sanctuary and see Patience sitting,  i hear the  Take That boys from Manchester singing.......Have a little Patience. I am reminded, AND start with yourself....how about you?
